JLAC Focus Area & Community Impact
The Junior League of Anniston-Calhoun's focus area is Developing the Potential of Women.This means ALL women, young and not-so-young!
Our goal is to provide opportunities for women, both inside and outside of the League, to achieve self-improvement, increase self-confidence, build leadership qualities, and prepare women to change the world. We do this through community outreach opportunities inside and outside Junior League, and partnering with other local agencies.
Beginning with the 2021-2022 year, we shifted our focus to ending Human Trafficking and combatting homelessness in our community. During 2023-2024 we branched out to become more inclusive and welcoming to women of all backgrounds. In our 2024-2025 year, we will be focusing a bit more on our teens and mental health for all women.
We support this focus area through fundraisers and partnerships with local businesses.
